ZAFFERANO LAMPES-A-PORTER ILLUMINATE THE ITALIAN FINE DINING
In the memorable summer of 2020, the catering sector has implemented new needs and directives to tackle the spread of the Covid-19 virus. To ensure the adequate distance between the tables, many bars and restaurants have occupied the space outside the premises itself; in this situation, Zafferano portable lamps are a necessary fixture and - thanks to the variety of the range and the clean and essential design - fit easily into any style of furniture.
Casa Maria Luigia in Modena, Danì Maison in Ischia, Ristorante San Domenico in Imola, but also Cipriani Club 55 and Downtown in New York, are some of the places that are equipped with these luminaires. The Gran Caffè Quadri in Piazza San Marco in Venice stands out, for a special reason: "I was born in Venice and for 20 years I have been working with restaurateurs and hoteliers - says Federico de Majo, founder of Zafferano - I design objects and tools that facilitate their daily operations and make their premises more pleasurable. Poldina was born from listening to their needs: having a lamp that could bring light to tables in gardens, terraces and wherever there is no electricity. But there is one more detail: my maternal grandfather was one of the first and most important Venetian merchants to supply Venice restaurants with raw materials. With this collaboration between Zafferano and Alajmo, I fulfill my dream as an entrepreneur and as a Venetian."
